Baltimore Ravens star linebacker Roquan Smith is talking about playing on the road against the Cleveland Browns at the "Dog Pound." ... and he seems to identity.

"You go in there as the enemy to go take over and that's our plan," Smith said. "I think they call it a 'dog pound' ... I consider myself a dog so I'm right at home in that place ... 

"I know they're a physical football team but so are we, and at the end of the day it's gonna be the most physical football team that comes out victorious."

Smith has been one of the best linebackers and overall players in football to start the season. In three games, he has recorded 33 tackles, 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss while anchoring a strong Baltimore defense.

He was traded to the team in the middle of last year from the Chicago Bears, who received linebacker A.J. Klein, a 2023 second round pick and a 2023 fifth round pick in return. 

Both the Ravens and the Browns will be coming into the game at 2-1 and will be fighting for a chance to stay at the top of the AFC North, which Smith believes is one of the toughest divisions in football.

"In my opinion, I think it's the best division in football," Smith said. "Without a doubt, if you look at it from top to bottom."

The Pittsburgh Steelers are also tied for the division lead at 2-1 while the Cincinnati Bengals, who won the division the past two years, sit at the bottom at 1-2. They will both be on the road this week, with the Steelers playing the Houston Texans and the Bengals playing the Tennessee Titans. 

The Ravens game against the Browns will be on Oct. 1 at 1 p.m. from Cleveland Browns Stadium. ... with "dogs'' on both sides.
