J.K. Dobbins Future with Ravens in Question?

After an injury-negated start to his career Baltimore Ravens running back, J.K. Dobbins is left wondering if he'll get a second contract from the team that drafted him.
In this story:

What is the future of Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins look like? No one really knows at this point, as his rookie deal is fastly approaching its end, leaving many to wonder if this will be his last season as a Raven.

Those questions about his future were only exacerbated after a series of tweets from Dobbins on Thursday, where, despite expressing his love for Baltimore and desire to stay a Raven until his career is over, he may not get his way.

"Baltimore .... I hope I'm here till the end of my career... I love you," Dobbins said in one tweet. That was then followed up with a reply of his own, saying, "[I don't know] tho sadly."

It seems now that the aforementioned tweet from Dobbins was deleted as support from fans started pouring in, except for some who used it as a way to criticize him.

Shortly after putting out that cryptic reply, Dobbins tweeted again about how he was a Raven 'through and through' until he leaves.

So, what's the potential holdup for the Ravens? Injuries over his four years in the league, the former Ohio State Buckeye has been set back by injuries. Following his rookie campaign, where he rushed for 805 yards and nine touchdowns on 134 carries in 15 games, Dobbins missed all of the following season due to a knee injury. That same knee also saw him play just eight games this past season.

Judging by his astounding career, 5.9 yards per carry stat, if it weren't for the injuries, Dobbins' future wouldn't be in question. Yet as the old saying goes, the best ability is availability, and that hasn't been the case for Dobbins recently.
