Ravens 'Getting Slept On!' In Super Bowl Chase

The Baltimore Ravens have a star-studded team on paper, and CBS Sports thinks John Harbaugh's team isn't getting the Super Bowl love it should.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens this offseason have been undergoing change that fans will hope elevates them into the Super Bowl contenders category.

Todd Monken is the offensive coordinator and brings with him his want to air the ball out. With Baltimore adding Zay Flowers, Nelson Agholor, and Odell Beckham Jr. to an offense already with Mark Andrews, Rashod Bateman, and Devin Duvernay, the Ravens' offense is explosive.

Not to mention their stable of running backs in J.K. Dobbins, Justice Hill, and Gus Edwards. But there isn't much love for the Ravens when the Super Bowl conversion comes up.

For CBS Sports, Baltimore is a team that is going under the radar.

"Baltimore is getting slept on," CBS Sports writes. "The Lamar Jackson contract saga is in the rearview mirror and the Ravens spent the offseason bolstering the weapon around him, including bringing aboard new OC Todd Monken. And they are bringing a top 10 defense from a year ago back into 2023. So long as Jackson stays healthy, I don't see why the Ravens wouldn't be in the Super Bowl conversation."

It is worth remembering that last season, when Lamar Jackson was healthy, he had the Ravens sitting atop the division with an 8-4 record and had already beaten Joe Burrow's Cincinnati Bengals.

After Jackson went down with injury, Baltimore would then finish the year 10-7 and only just lost to the Bengals in Week 18 (27-16) and then in the Wildcard Round (24-17) after being in a position to score the go-ahead touchdown.

Now, with Jackson's collection of weapons, which one could argue is the best he has ever had, coupled with Mike Macdonald's defense again being one of the best units in football, maybe there shouldn't be so many people discounting Baltimore from the Super Bowl conversation.

If, and that's a big if, Jackson and his team can stay relatively healthy, there is no reason why the Ravens can't win the division and go toe-to-toe with anyone in the AFC.
