Ravens Training Camp: During Dobbins' Hold In, JK, Harbaugh 'Talk A Lot!'

Running back JK Dobbins is in the middle of a "hold-in" as he hopes to have his contract extended by the Baltimore Ravens before the NFL season begins.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens are fully entrenched in training camp right now, and it's all hands on deck as quarterback Lamar Jackson and the offense are acclimating to Todd Monken's scheme and terminology.

Well, almost all the offense. Running back JK Dobbins is in the middle of a "hold-in" as he hopes to have his contract extended before the season begins. Dobbins is at camp, but he's not working out with the team.

With Dobbins not practicing for a week now, coach John Harbaugh was asked by reporters via Sarah Ellison when that becomes a concern:

"I don't know. It's a fair question. And there is a point in time when it does become a concern because - and he knows - JK and I talked last night. We talk a lot. He wants to be out, and he needs to be out there, just like any player does. Other than that, there's nothing else that I can really add because I don't know when he's gonna come back. But, I know I'm gonna be really happy when he does."

And when asked how that affects the rest of the offense, Harbaugh gave a heartfelt reply. "Well, you miss JK. He's the player. You want him out there. He's a great player. And it's one less great player you have out there."

If Dobbins continues his hold-in as we get closer to the start of the regular season, the team will depend more on the newly-signed Melvin Gordon to pick up the slack until the Dobbins situation is resolved.
