Baltimore Ravens' Win Over Los Angeles Rams 'Lamar's Best Game of The Season!' Says Analyst

The Baltimore Ravens needed overtime to slay the Los Angeles Rams, and Good Morning Football's Pete Schrager says it was Lamar Jackson's best game of the season.
In this story:

The Baltimore Ravens are positioning themselves for a serious Super Bowl tilt after their 37-31 overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams. In the driving rain at M&T Bank Stadium, the Ravens, led by Lamar Jackson, did just enough to secure their 10th win of the season.

Jackson would complete 24 of his 43 attempts for 316 yards, three touchdowns, and one interception while having a quarterback rating of 92.8. Jackson led a 15-play, 75-yard drive in the rain, leading to a Zay Flowers touchdown to take the lead late in the fourth quarter.

For Good Morning Football's Peter Schrager, Sunday's win over the Rams was Jackson's best game of the season.

"I think this was Lamar's best game of the season," Schrager said on Good Morning Football. Lamar has been an MVP in this league; he has won a playoff game in this league; he's done a lot of great things. We always want more from Lamar. And after this long, laborious contract negotiation, it's like, 'Alright, can you do it when you're behind? Can you do it when it's not a blowout? Can you do it when it's not with your legs?' Lamar did it with his arm [Sunday]. I thought he was awesome in this game."

The win saw the Ravens maintain their status as the No. 1 seed in the AFC, and that was solidified when the Miami Dolphins succumbed to Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans 28-27 the following day.

With the Ravens now owning the No. 1 seed outright off the back of Jackson's performance, things are starting to line up for Baltimore.

While the Ravens now have a solid grip on the No. 1 seed, maintaining that is going to be a tall order, as in the next four weeks, they will face the Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, the Miami Dolphins (potentially for the No. 1 seed) and finish with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Ravens Have Clear Path to No. 1 Seed in Playoffs

So the path is laid out: keep winning, and the Super Bowl will run through Baltimore in the AFC. What will perhaps hold the Ravens in good stead is that they will face two genuine Super Bowl threats in San Francisco and Miami, so they will be battle-tested prior to the beginning of the playoffs.

But for now, the Ravens can bask in their 10th win of the season, thanks to Lamar playing his best game of the season in the driving rain.
