Ravens' Zay Flowers 'Most Impressive Rookie' - Peter King
When the Baltimore Ravens drafted Zay Flowers in the first round of the NFL draft, many knew what kind of talent the AFC North franchise had on its hands.
But now, as the grind of training camp continues, Flowers is still going out and making play after play. And everyone has taken notice, even NBC's Peter King.
"The most impressive rookie I have seen in six camps is Zay Flowers," King said on NFL on NBC. "He lines up across from a corner and unless they literally interfere with him or hold him, he has tremendous separation on almost every cut. His quickness, his speed out of cuts is going to be a thing to watch in the NFL this year."
With the Ravens transitioning to a move vertical-style offense under the guidance of new coordinator Todd Monken, hype is building with what Baltimore could look like on offense.
Lamar Jackson has the best collection of receiving talent since entering the league as tight end Mark Andrews, Odell Beckham Jr., Rashod Bateman, Devin Duvernay, Flowers, and free agent acquisition Nelson Agholor make up the room.
Most eyes have been on OBJ, and rightly so, but Flowers continues to flash, and many expect him to have a big role in the Ravens' offense this year.
Much of the focus will likely go toward Beckham Jr. and Andrews, as both are proven Pro Bowl talents, but Flowers, by all accounts, is going to be a real problem for opposing defenses.
While curbing the hype is tough, given it is only training camp and no meaningful snaps has been played, but it's hard not to love what Flowers is producing so early in his NFL career.
