Before agreeing to join the Cleveland Browns for the remainder of the 2023 season, former Baltimore Ravens quarterback and Super Bowl MVP Joe Flacco apparently had his pick of teams to choose from.

"Joe Flacco’s agent, Joe Linta, told me Sunday night he had 'two or three' teams inquire about signing Flacco last Monday, when the Browns put him on the practice squad for a day or two, for roster-management purposes," NBC Sports' Peter King wrote for his latest "Football Morning in America" column. "'Joe didn’t want to hear it,' Linta said. 'He absolutely wanted to stay in Cleveland. He loves the team. He really gets along well with [head coach Kevin Stefanski].'"

Aside from on-the-field offers, Flacco reportedly had an offer to join "Inside the NFL" for the rest of the season but chose to play with the Browns instead.

Flacco joined the Browns for one game after Deshaun Watson went down with a season-ending shoulder injury. Flacco threw three interceptions against the Bears including a pick-6. But Flacco also connected with wideout Amari Cooper on a 51-yard touchdown pass to tie the game late in the fourth quarter.

Flacco is 2-1 as a starter with Cleveland.

"Yeah, I think he’s done unbelievable," Flacco told Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated about Stefanski possibly earning Coach of the Year honors. "I think he’s the first guy you should look at. Look at what he’s dealt with all year, how many different quarterbacks and linemen and whatever else you can name. He’s done an incredible job."

The Browns are thick in the playoff hunt at 9-5 and in the No. 5 seed in the AFC.
