'He's The MVP!' Texans Coach DeMeco Ryans Praises Ravens QB Lamar Jackson
The Baltimore Ravens rode a superb second half to a 34-10 win over the Houston Texans in the Divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday, and quarterback Lamar Jackson was a large part of that success.
Jackson finished the game with over 100 yards in both the passing and rushing categories, further illustrating why he is the MVP frontrunner as the season nears its end. Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans is certainly a believer, giving a large amount of praise to Jackson following the game.
“[The Ravens] are a really good football team – credit to the Ravens there,” Ryans said. “They came out in the second half, and they executed better than we did. We did not execute well enough to be in position to win the game in the second half, and that’s what it came down to.
“Credit to Lamar [Jackson]. He made a ton of great plays, probably, that’s why he’s the MVP. He made a ton of great plays. We didn’t make plays. It’s what it all comes down to.”
The Texans experienced a huge turnaround as a franchise this season, but the Ravens showed their prowess as the top seed in the AFC on Saturday.
