Will Jacksonville Jaguars Have WR Jamal Agnew Back for Matchup with Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night?

The Jacksonville Jaguars designated wideout Jamal Agnew for return from the injured reserve, opening his 21-day practice window. But will he be ready to play on Sunday Night against the Baltimore Ravens?

The Baltimore Ravens are preparing for a Sunday Night Football matchup with the AFC South-leading Jaguars. And Jacksonville could have an additional weapon available at EverBank Stadium.

Wideout and return man Jamal Agnew was placed on the designated to return from the injured reserve list, opening his 21-day practice window to return to play.

“Yeah, I think this would be the week that if we can activate his window, we might do that later in the week. We’ll see where he’s at health-wise. He’s feeling good, so hopefully, by Wednesday we can make that decision," Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson said on Monday.

Agnew has been on injured reserve since November 18 due to shoulder and rib injuries. Before that, Agnew played in eight games and recorded nine catches for 90 yards, 11 punt returns for 117 yards and seven kickoff returns for 194 yards.

It'll be a matchup between division leaders and could be a potential AFC playoff preview.

The Jaguars are 8-5 with a one-game lead over both Indianapolis and Houston in the South, and a three-game lead over Tennessee. Jacksonville comes into the game riding a two-game losing streak.

Baltimore, on the other hand, is riding high at 10-3 with a two-game lead over the Browns and a three-game lead over both Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.

With remaining matchups against Jacksonville, San Francisco, Miami, and the Steelers, the Ravens are setting themselves up nicely for a run at the No. 1 seed in the AFC come playoff time.
