Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is in uncharted territory when discussing the 2023-24 team in front of him a week before their playoff run begins.

We're a week away from the Baltimore Ravens opening the divisional round of the playoffs in the confines of M&T Bank Stadium.

As the league's top seed for their dominance in a regular season that saw them set an NFL record with wins against teams over .500, the Ravens have shown the ability to withstand any issue that has come their way in 2023.

To head coach John Harbaugh, that's just one of the reasons why this group has been so special.

"I believe that this is one of the most connected teams I've ever been around. I think it starts with the fact that I really believe they love one another," Harbaugh explained. "I think they have a spiritual connection that runs through the whole team. You can just tell when a group of people like being around one another."

Harbaugh wasn't the only one to notice the level of chemistry that had been built by the locker room early in the season.

Late in August, NFL Insider Josina Anderson compared the Ravens' energy and locker room camaraderie to that of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022 which won 14 games and reached the Super Bowl.

Of course, as head coach, no one has a better beat on his team than Harbaugh.

It's one of the big reasons why the team isn't concerned about coming out rusty like they did the last time they were the league's top overall seed in 2019.

"It’s a reflection of all the different individuals that go up to make the group, the culture – whatever you want to call it – the environment, the world view that they take on the challenges that are in front of them, and I just admire everybody that sits in those seats right there in our team meeting," Harbaugh added. "I admire every single person sitting in those seats.”

The vibes around Baltimore's football team couldn't be any higher - even despite not knowing exactly who they'll be playing in the divisional round.

As the team prepares for their home playoff game, it's clear though that the team is not just ready for the games to begin, but they are uniquely prepared to handle whatever comes their way.
