Lamar Jackson Rips PFT's 'Disrespectful' Mike Florio: 'Clickbait for His Little Channel,' Says Baltimore Ravens QB

Generally speaking, when it comes to an NFL team and its focus, players are best-served with dealing with the "white noise'' that emanates from outside the building to, well, ignore the ignoramuses.

But what if the "white noise'' is too loud to ignore? What if the ignoramus crosses a line?

"We're grown men, we got to feed our families,'' said Baltimore Ravens star Lamar Jackson, responding to a rather outrageous story and a video from ProFootballTalk.com's Mike Florio in which he predicted going into Monday's game that the San Francisco 49ers would “kick the (bleep) out the Ravens.'' "He can have his opinion but just don’t be talking like that. That’s disrespectful. That’s very disrespectful.''

Jackson is dead-on in this sense: Florio didn't just predict the 49ers would win; there is nothing especially notable about that. But "kick the (bleep) out of the Ravens''?

That is, to say the least, an unorthodox way - and really, an unsavory way - for a professional media member to go about his business.

The opposite occurred on Monday in Santa Clara, of course. It was the Ravens who manhandled the Niners, 33-19. (See how we used the word "manhandled'' rather than the phrase "kicked the bleep out of''?)

Did Jackson and the Ravens take any particular motivation from PFT's amateurish presentation? Lamar says no, but ...

“It was just, ‘This team is … the Ravens; we don't know about the Ravens.' Now it's, ‘Oh, they're the No. 1 team.' So, we're not paying mind to that,'' Jackson said. "I feel like that's clickbait.''

How Ravens Can Clinch No. 1 Seed vs. Dolphins

The Ravens oppose the playoff-bound Miami Dolphins this week, and with Baltimore able to clinch the AFC's No. 1 playoff seed with a victory, it figures to be as high-profile as last week's game, with the same sort of buildup. But, Jackson said of the media hype, "It just sounds like noise right now.''

Will some media members and fans pick the Dolphins to win? Sure. And that's fine with Jackson. But ...

“You can’t just discredit us,'' Jackson said. "I say that we are respectful to our opponents. Our opponents are respectful to us. But ... I guess (Florio) wanted more views on his little channel. We’re going to leave it at that.”
