Lamar Jackson vs. Daniel Jones: Giants QB is 'Trash' Compared to Ravens Star, Says Rival

Maybe this isn't about the Giants' Daniel Jones being "trash.'' Rather, maybe this is about the system that has put the pinch on the Ravens' Lamar Jackson being "trash.''
In this story:

The NFL world is not "fair.''

Not "fair'' to Lamar Jackson in the sense that the "offer'' made to him by his team pales to the deal just signed by Daniel Jones with his team.

And not "fair'' to Jones, because it's not his fault that his situation with his New York Giants is somehow favorable enough to have earned him a four-year, $160 million deal while Jackson is stuck on the non-exclusive franchise tag and a one-year, $32 million setup.

But just because it's not "fair'' doesn't mean it's something other than bothersome to many.

We write here about the assortment of NFL players, including members of the Baltimore Ravens family, who are upset that Jackson has been "screwed'' by the system (or, arguably, by the Ravens).

And now comes this, an emotion-fueled take from Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker, who is taking a shot at Daniel Jones while trying to support Lamar Jackson.

Brisker called Jones “trash” on Twitter while expressing his disbelief in Jackson having been hit with the franchise tag.

"We live in a world where Daniel Jones’ current salary is higher than Lamar Jackson’s,'' Brisker wrote. "(Jackson is an) MVP lol … other Bruh got paid today and is trash fam.''

The "other Bruh'' is of course Jones, who in fairness improved greatly this season, the former first-round pick helping the New York Giants qualify for the playoffs and winning a first-round game.

But Jones is not in the same stratosphere, in terms of accomplishments, as Jackson. The Ravens surely know this, but ...

The system. The NFL world. Not fair.

Maybe, more accurately, this isn't about Daniel Jones being "trash''; he's just fortunate. Rather, maybe this is about the system that has put the pinch on Lamar Jackson being "trash.''
