Chargers Sign Former Ravens RB
Former Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins is headed West, signing a one-year deal to join the Los Angeles Chargers, according to NFL Network's Tom Peliserro.
Dobbins, 25, was the Ravens' second-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He played in 24 games over his first four seasons, starting 10 and rushing for 1,347 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Unfortunately, Dobbins' time in Baltimore was riddled with injuries. After suffering a season-ending miniscus tear, he returned in 2022 for just eight games. Then, in 2023, he tore his achilles during opening week of the season.
The former Ohio State star re-joins another former Ravens running back in Gus Edwards, who also signed with the Chargers this offseason.
Dobbins and Edwards will take over Los Angeles' backfield, looking to create new success under first-year head coach Jim Harabaugh.
Meanwhile, Baltimore will begin a new era with Derrick Henry as their star runner.
