LeBron Reacts to Lamar Jackson 'Haters' of Ravens' No. 1 NFL MVP Candidate
The NFL is about to make its choice for the MVP for the 2023 season. And not that it needs any guidance from LeBron James ... but he has made his pick for NFL MVP as well.
"Ok so what y’all gone say about Lamar Jackson as MVP nod now????!!! Always on some hatin 💩 when it comes to him. Man give him the trophy now and his 💐 💐," wrote the Los Angeles Lakers and NBA superstar.
The "hatin''' may be a reference to the idiotic assertion made last week that the Baltimore Ravens' brilliant quarterback isn't "quarterbacky' enough - a media comment delivered with serious racist overtones.
Or maybe it is just about LeBron's perception of a general disrespect for the unique gifts of Lamar, who on Sunday Week 17 helped demolish the contending Miami Dolphins 56-19 while posting a perfect passer rating of 158.3, completing 18 out of 21 passes for 321 yards and throwing five touchdown passes.
There is no shortage of other candidates this season - Christian McCaffrey, Josh Allen, Dak Prescott, Tyreek Hill, Brock Purdy and others. But nobody is doing what Lamar is doing ... and nobody is doing it in leadership of a better team than the top-seeded 13-3 Ravens.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson Makes MVP Case With Five TDs and AFC No. 1 Seed in Win Over Dolphins
LeBron knows his way around MVP trophies, and he knows his way around championships as well.
Jackson is on course for his second NFL MVP award even as his totals in touchdown passes (24) and passing yards (13th) are surpassed by some. But he's also got 821 rushing yards and five more TDs on the ground.
He's the best player on the best team. LeBron is going end up on the right side of the ballot here.
