Odell Beckham Jr. 'Can't Wait' for Ravens Debut vs. Texans

Baltimore Ravens receiver Odell Beckham Jr. hasn't played an NFL game in 18 months. That will change on Sunday against the Houston Texans.
In this story:

September is here and football is close, sparking excitement among many Baltimore Ravens fans ... but none may be more amped than receiver Odell Beckham Jr.

OBJ shared his anticipation on social media Wednesday morning.

For Beckham Jr., Sunday's game marks his first time playing on an NFL field since Super Bowl LVI, where he won his first championship with the Los Angeles Rams as they beat the AFC North rival Cincinnati Bengals.

During that game, Beckham Jr. tore his ACL and did not play or see a roster for the entire 2022 season.

This spring, Beckham Jr. made his long-awaited return to a roster by signing a one-year contract with the Ravens.

Beckham Jr. is playing a key role in Baltimore's offense this season. He's expected to be a top target for Lamar Jackson, one that he's sorely needed throughout his tenure with the Ravens. He'll also play the role of mentor for first-round rookie Zay Flowers, who he'll also be simultaneously competing against for touches.

However, Beckham Jr.'s goal remains simple ... he wants another Super Bowl ring.

"I've seen what it takes [to win a championship], and I don't think there's a piece missing here to where this team can't be competing for a championship," Beckham Jr. said. "I don't think this is a team to take lightly. The way Harbs and these guys run this program is serious. They care about winning and that's all they care about."

The first step for Beckham Jr. and Baltimore's title chase comes against the Houston Texans. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday at 1 p.m. inside M&T Bank Stadium.
