Ravens Update Injures, Make Roster Moves Ahead of Divisional Matchup With Texans
The Ravens earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC by virtue of a 13-4 regular season record. That's important. Why? Because along with it comes a first-round bye.
And for the Ravens, it couldn't have come at a better time.
On Monday, as the Bills and Steelers were battling it out in a frigid Buffalo, Baltimore coach John Harbaugh sounded optimistic that some players would get healthy ahead of the Divisional round matchup with the Texans on Saturday.
Some players missed practice on Friday. Zay Flowers (calf), Marlon Humphrey (calf), Odafe Oweh (ankle), Malik Harrison (groin) and Del'Shawn Phillips (shoulder) all sat out while nursing injuries.
"We're pretty optimistic about everybody, varying degrees of optimism with certain guys," Harbaugh said. "It's just like any week, you have to see it unfold. Some guys are good to go. Other guys are going to be more day by day."
The best news for the team and for Ravens fans is that Pro Bowl tight end Mark Andrews returned to the practice field for the first time since suffering a season-ending ankle injury against the Bengals. That opens his 21-day window to be moved to the active roster, as Andrews hopes to be back during the team's playoff run.

Baltimore also made two roster moves as corner Pepe Williams (ankle) was moved to injured reserve and wideout Laquon Treadwell was released.
