'Too Much Firepower!' Ravens vs. Chiefs AFC Championship: Gronk Predicts Winner
Rob Gronkowski knows his way around NFL Conference Championship Games, and Super Bowls, too. And the colorful former NFL tight end is registering his pick for Sunday as the Baltimore Ravens play host to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game.
And "firepower'' is behind his reasoning.
"I just think the Baltimore Ravens are too much of a consistent team. They have too much firepower on the offensive side of the ball and the defensive side of the ball,'' Gronkowski said on the "Up & Adams Show" on Wednesday.
If the Lamar Jackson-led Ravens win - thanks to all of that firepower - they will advance to the Super Bowl for the first time in over a decade.
It's Mahomes' Chiefs at Lamar's Ravens in AFC Title Game: 'Not in The Dance Yet!'
But the team they are trying to take down? The Chiefs, who have been to three Super Bowls in the last four seasons, are led by Patrick Mahomes, and there is no shortage of firepower on that roster.
The Ravens were the AFC's No. 1 this year, a pretty much wire-to-wire contender, which speaks to Gronk's point about consistency. The Ravens ended up finishing the regular season with a 13-4 record. The Chiefs just got done surviving their playoff win at Buffalo and soon comes Sunday's game, which gets rolling at 3 p.m. ET.
And, said Gronk, "I just can't see the Baltimore Ravens losing this game.''
