WATCH: Baltimore Ravens TE Isaiah Likely Catches Lamar Jackson TD Pass
The Baltimore Ravens avoided going into halftime without a touchdown on Sunday Night Football against the Jacksonville Jaguars when quarterback Lamar Jackson found tight end Isaiah Likely for a 16-yard touchdown.
There were five different Jacksonville defenders in the area of Likely, but it didn't matter, as Jackson threaded the needle to find his target in the end zone and put Baltimore up 10-0 on the road.
One play before the touchdown, Ravens offensive guard John Simpson got a dead-ball penalty for headbutting Jaguars safety Andrew Wingard that moved them from the 1-yard line to the 16-yard line.
Wingard ended up being the defender that Likely caught the touchdown on, which probably pleased Simpson.
The half ended with the Jaguars getting no points after taking the ball all the way down to the Ravens 5-yard line. An inability to get out-of-bounds and stop the clock after a 1st-and-goal play led to the clock running out before a play could be run.
Likely went into halftime with three receptions for 40 yards and a touchdown. He is currently Baltimore's starting tight end after Mark Andrews went down with a season-ending ankle injury against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 11.
Super Bowl Prediction: Ravens vs. 49ers, Says 'ESPN Computer'
This season, Likely has recorded 21 catches for 252 yards and two touchdowns, with most of that production coming in the last few games since Andrews' injury. Likely has shown flashes of being a talented tight end in his two years with the Ravens, but hasn't played much due to the excellence of Andrews.
