After trading Sean Payton to the Broncos, what does the future look like for the Saints and their draft picks? Here's what the outlook is for the next two years, with some potential additions coming to the upcoming draft.

2023 Draft Picks

  • Round 1 (from Broncos via Dolphins and 49ers), 30th Overall - will actually be 29th
  • Round 2, 40th Overall
  • Round 3, 71st Overall
  • Round 4, 112th Overall
  • Round 5, 143rd Overall
  • Round 5 (via Eagles), 163rd Overall
  • Round 7, 205th Overall

The status of the Saints' 6th Rounder is unknown, but is a condition of the Bradley Roby trade. The team is also expected to pick up an additional 7th Round pick through the compensatory process. Speaking of, some of the actual overall places in the picks will change due to the compensatory picks awarded.

2024 Draft Picks

  • Round 1
  • Round 2 (via Broncos)
  • Round 4
  • Round 5
  • Round 6
  • Round 6 (via Eagles, later of the two sixth-round draft picks in 2024)

The Saints' Round 2 pick is held by the Eagles as part of their trade in the draft last year. They picked up an extra 6th Round pick through the C.J. Gardner-Johnson trade, and their 7th Round pick is with the Texans from acquiring Mark Ingram. Naturally, part of the trade compensation for Sean Payton involves them sending back a pick to Denver.
