As the dust settles from Alvin Kamara's legal issues, another looms for the New Orleans Saints star running back - NFL suspension. Let's call it "The Great Unknown," which will impact Dennis Allen's team in the future. Fans in the Big Easy are already "uneasy" regarding Commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL. The Saints organization views the penalties and suspensions imposed by the league after the Bounty Gate investigations as unfair. Regardless, the Who Dat Nation is bracing for the commissioner's verdict on Kamara.

SI's top fantasy football expert Michael Fabiano believes Kamara's stock will decline again for the 2023-34 season. The way offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael used the All-Pro running back last year, and the pending suspension led to Fabiano having low expectations.

"Kamara has seen his fantasy stock decline in recent years, as his points per game total has fallen from 25.2 in 2020 down to 14.1 a season ago. That's due in large part to a decline in his pass-catching chances, the absence of Drew Brees, and a decline in his red-zone looks. Kamara is also in danger of being suspended, and the Saints added Jamaal Williams and Kendre Miller to what will be a certain committee situation."

However, Fabs positively viewed Tampa Bay's running back, Rachaad White. "Todd Bowles believes White can "become a complete, three-down back," and it appears Tampa Bay will give him a chance to achieve that goal. He could emerge into a nice No. 2 fantasy runner," Fabiano noted.

It's difficult to speculate whether or not Kamara's suspension will be longer than half the season. However, it opens the door for the Saints to create more opportunities for free-agent acquisition Jamaal Williams and third-round pick Kendre Miller. Miller was held out of rookie minicamp and OTAs as a precaution due to last season's knee injury and surgery. The TCU product will be ready for training camp when rookies report on July 18.
