Bears Place Hicks on IR Before Saints Game

The Chicago Bears place Akiem Hicks on Injured Reserve

The New Orleans Saints will not face former Defensive Tackle Akiem Hicks in Chicago on Sunday.  Hicks was placed on the Reserve/Injured list by Bears this afternoon with an elbow injury.

The Bears elevated Offensive Lineman, Alex Bars to replace Hicks on their 53-man roster.

Hicks was drafted by the Saints in 2012 and 89th overall choice.  Hicks is from the Univerisity of Regina in Canada.  He played with New Orleans from 2012 - 2015, played 3 games in 2015 and was traded to the New England Patriots for Tight End Michael Hoomanawanui.
