Derek Carr is reportedly going to take some time in making a decision on where he'll land in 2023 and beyond. Derek's brother, David, told NFL Access on Monday that he's expected to take as many visits with potential suitors as he can.

"It's gonna be a long process," David Carr said. "He wants to do his due diligence and see as many places as he can to get a feel for what the best place for him will be."

Carr recently visited the Jets over the weekend, and like his visit with the Saints, things went very well. New Orleans is still very much in the mix, but the process taking longer could make things a bit interesting. Carr is free to sign with any team and won't have to wait until the start of free agency.

There's a good bit of quarterback-needy teams out there. Some could and will be expected to address their openings in the NFL draft, while others are going to have to be in a 'wait-and-see' type of pattern.

For the Saints, they have to figure this position out. Things have been unstable ever since Drew Brees retired, and New Orleans may have to step up their game if they want to land someone like Carr. The other options, whether they're be realistic or not, don't seem to make as much sense right now with Dennis Allen at the helm.
