Saints-Chargers Preseason Game: Earthquake Shakes SoFi Stadium
The off-field drama has made the New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Chargers game more compelling. Hurricane Hilary was downgraded to a tropical storm, which passed to the east of the Los Angeles area. A 5.0 magnitude earthquake hit the Ojai, CA area five minutes ago, which is 52 miles away from SoFi Stadium.
A magnitude-5.1 earthquake centered in Ventura County rattled parts of Southern California Sunday. The USGS reported there were at least four aftershocks of magnitude-3.0 or greater. The earthquake was centered about four miles southeast of Ojai, about 80 miles northwest of Los Angeles. NBC Los Angeles
Quarterback Jameis Winston will start the game with quarterbacks coach Ronald Curry calling the offensive plays for New Orleans, per team reporter Erin Summers.
