Coming into today's game at Buffalo, New York, the New Orleans Saints were being picked by a handful of analysts and observers that cover the NFL to have their 6-game winning streak snapped in the cold confines of New Era Field against a tough Bills team.

But not just because the Bills were considered a Playoff contender and were undefeated at home, but more so because a handful of those same analysts and observers simply didn't believe that the Saints were good enough of a football team to pull it off.

And that was in spite of how good the Saints had actually looked in their past 6 games, after initially beginning the season at 0-2.

But none of the biggest critics, doubters, and even the "haters" of this New Orleans franchise, could have predicted what happened out there today.

The Saints virtually DESTROYED the Bills in all phases, in as a complete and thorough 47-10 ASS-WHIPPING that you will ever see in the National Football League in this day and age.

With the impressive win, New Orleans won its 7th straight and improved to (7-2) overall, and continue to lead the NFC South Division. As of now, they're the #3 seed in the conference Playoff seedings were the season to end today.

The Saints rushed for over 300 yards and 6 — count them: SIX — rushing TD's on the day. The 6 rushing TD's in a single game set a Saints franchise record in the process.

If you would have told someone before the game that the New Orleans would have beaten another Playoff contender by 40 plus points (30 points in the 2nd half alone) in that team's own home stadium with Drew Brees not throwing a SINGLE TD pass, they would have thought you were completely insane.

The Saints didn't have to punt once in the entire game; and at one point ran the ball for 24 consecutive plays in the 3rd and 4th quarter before they finally had to pass again.

The Saints were the first NFL team to have 6 rushing TD's and 0 punts in a game since the 1941 Bears, which was 76 years ago.

The Bills simply appeared to be over-matched, and completely overwhelmed.

And had it not been for a Saints fumble inside of the Buffalo 20-yard line in the 2nd quarter and a late TD surrendered by an otherwise dominant New Orleans defense late in the game during "garbage time", the final score would have been even much worse than it indicated.

In all, it was the most impressive performance by the Saints in the past several years, But more importantly: New Orleans has served noticed to the rest of the NFL, including all of those who had been picking them to lose all week coming into the game: they ARE legitimate Super Bowl contenders in the NFC.

Now grant it, the lack of confidence in the Saints' abilities from all if their critics, doubters, and "haters" was more about the fact that prior to this current season, the Saints had finished with 3 straight (7-9) losing seasons and had one of the WORST defenses in the entire NFL for the past 5 years.

But now it's become fairly obvious — especially after today's absolute Buffalo 'beat down' — that these aren't your 2014-thru-2016 Saints.

These are the 2017 Saints, and they beat people with a solid running game and play good defense.

Oh and by the way: for all of the 'haters' that attempted to push the false narrative all week long that the Saints were merely a "Dome team" and weren't built to win games in cold weather?

Yeah, so much for that.

Long story short: this 2017 Saints team has suddenly and unexpectedly become a very good one, and they seemingly continue to get better with each passing week.

Make no mistake about it, with 7 games still left to play including a Thanksgiving Weekend clash in Los Angeles with the Rams and NFC South Division games against Carolina and then Atlanta twice; it's still way too early too early to pencil in the Saints for a berth in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis next February just yet.

But after today's dominant win over Buffalo in upstate New York, the harshest critics, doubters, and downright 'haters' of this Saints franchise, might want to think twice in the future before lacking faith or believing in their abilities.

If nothing else, New Orleans today showed that they are a team to be reckoned with, and not a team that you want to be betting money against.

So....

HOW YOU LIKE THEM NOW???
