Alvin Kamara, The Big Squeezy, Son of a Saint, and JD Motorsports all partner for NASCAR's Vargas
NASCAR announced Saints All-Pro RB Alvin Kamara, Son of a Saint, and JD Motorsports have all partnered to sponsor the No. 6 NASCAR Xfinity Series Chevrolet driven by Ryan Vargas.
Over the offseason, Alvin Kamara attended his first NASCAR race. Less than a year later, NASCAR announced the Saints All-Pro running back had entered a partnership with The Big Squeezy, Son of a Saint, and JD Motorsports to become official sponsors in NASCAR's Xfinity Series for driver Ryan Vargas.
“When this opportunity presented itself, I knew I couldn’t let it slip by...I did a bit of research on Ryan as an individual and JD Motorsports and was impressed with what I read. I’m excited to play a small role in what they already have going on.”

Kamara admitted over the Summer that he lacked knowledge of the sport until he began attending races while sporting the No. 43, which Bubba Wallace drove last season for Richard Petty Motorsports. The four time Pro-Bowl running back even sat in the pace car at Homestead Miami in June 2020.
Vargas and Kamara's new partnership appeared to spark off of a Twitter thread earlier this week when Vargas posted a picture of his No. 6 car with a caption.
"I don’t normally make posts like this, but headed into this weekend we have no primary sponsor on the car for the Daytona Road Course...We’re working hard to secure partners for this year, & if you or someone you know is interested, reach out!"
Kamara was mentioned in a reply and quickly responded to Vargas, "Ok how do I do this lol." The process quickly came into fruition as the 2017 Offensive Rookie of the Year tweeted the following day he "had sumthin" ready for fans later this week.
“Having the opportunity to work with Alvin Kamara and The Big Squeezy is such a huge honor. As one of the best running backs in the game, I know Alvin puts 110% effort into everything he does and that can easily be said for myself and our No. 6 JD Motorsports team.”

"The Big Squeezy", Kamara’s chain of juice bars in Louisiana, will make its debut as the primary sponsor for the No.6 car in Saturday’s Super Start Batteries 188 at the Daytona International Speedway Road Course. NASCAR shared a first look at the "new look" No. 6 car following the official announcement yesterday.
The Son of a Saint non-profit organization in New Orleans will be beneficiaries of Kamara's partnership deal. Kamara has been a supporter of the foundation since he "unknowingly" helped them earn a fantasy football league championship for the charity after his six-touchdown performance on Christmas Day against the Minnesota Vikings.
Sonny Lee, Son of a Saint Founder and Director, spoke with Saints News Network's Kyle T. Mosley on Thursday morning about the foundation's inclusion in the partnership.
"We're really excited to continue our relationship with Alvin Kamara. We're very honored that he chose our boys [at the Son of a Saint] to be beneficiaries of his NASCAR sponsorship," said Lee.
