The Saints are bringing in two veterans on Monday, according to reports from ESPN. The team will be working out running back Kareem Hunt and linebacker Anthony Barr.

Hunt and Barr were two players I thought the Saints could pursue ahead of training camp back in mid-July. New Orleans lost Eno Benjamin due to a ruptured Achilles recently, and they'll be without Alvin Kamara for the first three games of the season after the NFL handed out his suspension. Jamaal Williams and rookie Kendre Miller look to have a lot more involvement, but Hunt is a veteran that fits what the Saints like to do.

As far as Barr, he joined the Cowboys on a one-year, $3 million deal last season and had a reduced role. The Eagles snatched up a couple of veterans on Sunday in Zach Cunningham and Myles Jack recently, and Kwon Alexander was signed by the Steelers. Dennis Allen said that Demario Davis is dealing with a calf injury in which he had further imaging done. He was held out of Saturday's practice.

Davis' injury is not believed to be serious, but at the same time, he has missed two straight days of practice. The Saints have a preseason game against the Chiefs on Saturday, so some of these additions if signed could be brought up to speed quickly to play.
