Saints Place Marshon Lattimore On Injured Reserve

The Saints are calling up their new veteran pass rusher for Sunday's game against the Falcons, while Marshon Lattimore heads to IR.
In this story:

The Saints made several moves on Saturday ahead of Sunday's game against the Falcons, with the main one being placing their star cornerback Marshon Lattimore on injured reserve. Like Michael Thomas, he'll have to be out a minimum of four games.

This is where things were trending for Lattimore, who got hurt against the Vikings on a play where his ankle got rolled up on from a teammate. The Saints sought second opinions regarding this and were originally thinking this could be a week-to-week type of injury, but shutting him down to get him healthy and save him for the bigger picture should be the smarter play. Isaac Yiadom, who started for the team early in the season, should get some starts opposite of Paulson Adebo.

New Orleans also made two standard practice elevations to the roster, calling up fullback Adam Prentice and defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul. Pierre-Paul makes his black and gold debut, as the veteran should hopefully make a big impact for a team that really needs to get the pass rush going. Isaiah Foskey is questionable with a thigh injury.
