Looking at the June Calendar for the Saints

June sees OTAs wrap up and a three-day minicamp for the Saints, but will be fairly quiet until we get to training camp.

As we enter the month of June, we're not far off from the NFL season returning in its full capacity. However, the calendar for the Saints and most of the teams is uneventful as OTAs conclude and minicamp gets here. Here's the outlook for New Orleans this month.

June

  • May 30-June 1: OTAs
  • June 2: 7th Annual Saints Hall of Fame Night at the Biloxi Shuckers game (6:35 p.m. CT)
  • June 5-8: Final week of OTAs
  • June 13-15: Mandatory Minicamp
  • June 18: Phase Three of the NFL offseason ends

Essentially after mandatory minicamp, we're going to have a dry spell of action until training camp gets here. Dates for that should be announced in early-to-mid July. We should also look for an official team announcement soon regarding any fan attendance for minicamp.

SAINTS OTAS: PRACTICE NOTES, TAKEAWAYS, OBSERVATIONS

It's also important to remember that any post-June 1 designations will come off the books on June 2. We should expect some player movement leading up to training camp, but it won't be a frenzy like the start of free agency.
