Saints' Ronald Curry to Attend NFL's Coach Accelerator Program
Saints Passing Game Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach Ronald Curry is among a list of 40 participants who will be at the NFL's Coach Accelerator program that will be held at the Spring League Meeting in Minneapolis next week. The league made the announcement on Wednesday for the second annual event.
16 of the participants are returning from last year's event, and the purpose is to increase the exposure between club owners, executives, and diverse coaching talent. Teams were able to nominate those from outside of their organization this year, and each candidate selected has a high potential of being considered for a future head coaching position.
Curry is in his seventh season with the Saints and 18th in the league. Ex-Saints Co-Defensive Coordinator Kris Richard, who was in attendance last year, will also be there. Curry drew some outside interest in the offseason, interviewing for the Buccaneers offensive coordinator position. However, he chose to remain with New Orleans. He'll be very important to what New Orleans will do in the offense this season with Derek Carr at the helm.
