A highly respected former Saints assistant doesn't have to wait long for a new job, per reports.

ESPN reporters Aaron Wilson and Katherine Terrell report that the Buffalo Bills will be hiring former New Orleans Saints assistant Ronald Curry for a spot on their coaching staff. This on the heels of Tuesday night news that the Saints would not be retaining Curry after newly hired offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak officially joins the staff after the Super Bowl.

Terrell reports that the Saints approached Curry with the opportunity to coach wide receivers under Kubiak. He declined, instead choosing to go with a new opportunity in Buffalo.

Curry, 44, has been with the Saints since 2016 as an offensive assistant. In 2018, he was promoted to WR coach. It was a position he held until taking over as QB coach in 2021. His first coaching job was as an offensive assistant with the San Francisco 49ers from 2014 through 2015.

A collegiate wideout and quarterback at North Carolina, Curry was a seventh-round choice by the Oakland Raiders in the 2002 NFL Draft. In seven seasons with the Raiders, he caught 193 passes for 2,347 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Curry will be reunited with offensive coordinator Joe Brady in Buffalo. Brady was an offensive assistant with Sean Payton's staff in New Orleans in 2017 and 2018. Over the previous two years he was the QB coach for the Bills before being promoted to offensive coordinator last season.

Since last month, the Saints have moved on from Curry, offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael, WR coach Kodi Burns, offensive line coach Doug Marrone, and senior offensive assistant Bob Bicknell. Former RB coach Joel Thomas departed for the same position with the New York Giants. Former offensive line assistant Kevin Carberry has been hired as offensive line coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Klint Kubiak, the passing game coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers, was hired last week to replace Carmichael as offensive coordinator. The other remaining offensive assistants are currently TE coach Clancy Barone, offensive line assistant Jahri Evans, along with assistants D.J. Williams, Kevin Petry, and Jordan Traylor.
