Drew Brees to miss 6 weeks after surgery: report

The New Orleans Saints will have their first extended stretch without Drew Brees at quarterback.
According to ESPN and NFL Network, Brees will miss up to six weeks after he undergoes surgery on the thumb he injured Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Brees, 40, has missed one game due to injury in his 19-year NFL career. He also never missed a game to injury while in college.
Teddy Bridgewater will be the starting quarterback Sunday in Seattle. The Saints also have Taysom Hill as a No. 3 quarterback.
