Saints QB Derek Carr Out, Jameis Winston In vs. Green Bay
New Orleans Saints starting quarterback Derek Carr was injured in the Green Bay game and is out for the remainder of Sunday's game. SNN's John Hendrix reported that Carr could stand up and walk to the sideline. He was taken to the locker room after entering the Saints medical tent for observation.
Quarterback Jameis Winston will replace Carr in the lineup for the remainder of the game against Green Bay. Winston has been a reliable team backup and gained considerable NFL experience. He has started 80 games, winning 34. With New Orleans, his record is 6-4. Winston has completed 61% of his passes for the Saints, throwing for 2,554 yards, 22 touchdown passes, and ten interceptions.
