Saints Legend Honored Among LA Tech's 'Super Six'

On Wednesday night, six Louisiana Tech greats were honored, including a New Orleans Saints legend.

It was a "Who's Who" of Louisiana college sports greatness honored by LA Tech in Ruston. Jimmy Watson reported on Wednesday night's festivities.  New Orleans' greatest offensive lineman, "Willie Roaf, was almost forgotten in the star-studded alignment."  The Saints and Pro Football Hall of Famer and five other of the institution's sports legends were honored with statues at Louisiana Tech.

The university unveiled bronze statues of the "Super Six." Honorees with Roaf were former Pelicans assistant Teresa Weatherspoon, LSU head coach Kim Mulkey, 4x Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw, NBA great Karl Malone, and Hall of Famer Fred Dean.  The statues will reside outside Joe Aillet Stadium in the north end zone area.
