Saints Won't Be Playing in Germany
Despite a report from Bild reporter Max Schrader, the Saints won't be going back across the pond to play a game as part of the NFL's International Series. Schrader reported that New Orleans would play the New England Patriots in Frankfurt on either Nov. 12 or 19 during Week 10 or 11 action, but the NFL's official announcement on Wednesday has the Colts going there in Week 10.
The NFL's expansion plans to play 17 games from last year included each team that was eligible for a ninth regular season home game would be at a neutral site at an international venue each year. New Orleans played last year in London against the Vikings for theirs, and with the news, they'll play the Patriots at Foxboro.
The Buccaneers and Seahawks played in Munich last year, which drew nearly 70,000 fans. The defending Super Bowl Champion Chiefs are also hosting a game against the Dolphins in Germany. The league will drop the schedule on Thursday, May 11.
