Saints Players Out Of Preseason Opener Against Chiefs

New Orleans Saints players not in uniform for the preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to Saints News Network's John Hendrix, Demario Davis leads a group of injured players who won't dress for today's preseason opener against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hendrix reports: "No surprises on who we haven't seen."

• Rashid Shaheed (groin)
• Kirk Merritt (hamstring)
• Demario Davis (calf)
• Landon Young (sprained MCL)
• Andrus Peat (quad)
• Jesse James (groin)
• Lucas Krull (tailbone)

He also noted that Davis, Peat, and Shaheed are attending today's game dressed in street clothes along the New Orleans sidelines. They players are still getting treatment at the team's facilities during the week.
