Saints Preseason TV Schedule Announced
The NFL preseason television schedule was released on Thursday. The New Orleans Saints are going to be featured on the national stage in all three of their preseason contests.
New Orleans will host the Kansas City Chiefs in the Caesars Superdome in their preseason opener. The game is on Sunday, August 13 at Noon Central Time/1pm Eastern and can be viewed on the NFL Network.
New Orleans will play at the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, August 20. That game will also be televised on the NFL Network from So-Fi Stadium. Kickoff will be at 6pm Central Time/7pm Eastern. New Orleans and the Chargers will also square off in joint practices during the days leading up to the game.
The Saints wind up their 2023 preseason schedule by hosting the Houston Texans in the Caesars Superdome. That game will be on Friday, August 25. It will also be a national broadcast on FOX, scheduled for kickoff at 7pm Central Time/8 Eastern. New Orleans and Houston will also engage in joint practices prior to their preseason finale.
Fans will have plenty of opportunity to see the team, who have made several new additions to player personnel and the coaching staff this offseason. The Saints are coming off a 7-10 finish in 2022. It was their second straight year of missing the playoffs and their first losing season since 2005.
New Orleans is expected to open training camp in the last week of July. After three OTA sessions, their mandatory mini-camp is next weekend. They are also among a handful of teams who could be selected for the HBO training camp series Hard Knocks. The announcement of which team HBO will select for the series has not yet been made.
The Saints will open the 2023-24 regular season at home against the Tennessee Titans on September 10.
