The New Orleans Saints released defensive assistant Sterling Moore from its coaching staff on Thursday, June 15, per a report from beat reporter Nick Underhill.  The former NFL defensive back started as an intern for the Saints in 2021.

Moore played seven seasons in the National Football League.  He joined New Orleans in the 2016 season, having 13 game appearances with 12 starts.  That season, Moore recorded 55 tackles, two interceptions, a team-leading and career-high 14 passes defended, and a forced fumble.

Moore's playing career from college to the pros:  Laney College (2007-08), SMU (2009-10), New England Patriots, 2011-12; Dallas Cowboys (2012-14), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2015), New Orleans Saints (2016-17); Arizona Hotshots (Alliance of American Football) in 2019.
