The New Orleans Saints and Houston Texans announced the cancellation of their joint practices. New Orleans released the following statement:

"Our two teams have mutually agreed to cancel the joint practices that were scheduled in New Orleans on Thursday, August 24, and Friday, August 25. After our head coaches spoke earlier today, we decided this was in the best interest of both teams as we continue to prepare for the regular season. A revised practice schedule for each team will be communicated once finalized."

Houston lost to Miami 28-3 in Week 2 at home on Saturday, August 19.

The Saints defeated the Chargers 22-17 tonight at SoFi Stadium following the rains of Hurricane Hilray, and a 5.1 magnitude earthquake hit near the Los Angeles area.

Jameis Winston and Jake Haener each led three scoring drives against Los Angeles. Winston started the game by attempting 13 of 21 passes for 169 yards. Haener went 11 of 17 for 118 yards on the evening. The game was far from clean for New Orleans as they were penalized 14 times for 141 yards. The Saints will host the Texans in Caesars Superdome at 7 PM CT on Sunday, August 27.
