Saints Veteran Offensive Tackle Had Minor Knee Surgery
INDIANAPOLIS -- Dennis Allen met with several members of the Saints media on Wednesday afternoon, providing several key updates on the team. One of the biggest ones came in the form of Ryan Ramczyk. It was revealed by Allen that he had minor surgery to clean some things up and his knee will just continue to be something they manage. He's making good progress and is expected to be ready for training camp.
This is relatively good news for Ramczyk, as this wasn't a major surgery that would require a lot more rehab. Going into the offseason, New Orleans felt good about Ramczyk's future and Ramczyk did as well. This hopefully helps reinforce that. The management will likely consist of him being a familiar player to land on Wednesday's injury report with a rest designation.

The Saints are transitioning to a new offensive style under Klint Kubiak, which should incorporate a lot of wide zone concepts with play action elements that just weren't staples last season. Ramczyk will undoubtedly be a huge part of the puzzle, and New Orleans also feels good players like Landon Young behind him.
