Saints Wednesday Injury Report | Week 10
The 5-4 New Orleans Saints will travel to face the 5-4 Minnesota Vikings this coming Sunday. This is the Saints first injury report of Week 10.
Saints Wednesday Injury Report - Week 10
As reported by Ross Jackson and John Hendrix of the Saints News Network
Among those not spotted at Saints practice on Wednesday during the open portion made available to media were Kendre Miller, Cory Littleton, Isaiah Foskey, Anfernee Orji, Ryan Ramczyk, and Jimmy Graham. Ty Summers and Adam Prentice were back out there.
Ramczyk and Graham were likely just given typical rest days. Foskey (quad) and Miller (ankle) both left last week's win against Chicago. They'll be names to watch as the week progresses. Summers and Prentice were spotted by Ross Jackson during the media portion of practice.
Prentice has been on injured reserve for the last four games. The Saints have used DT Khalen Saunders over a fullback in goal-line situations over the last few weeks.
Linebacker Cory Littleton, signed by the Saints last week, was signed off the team's practice squad and added to the active roster of the Houston Texans. This is also per John Hendrix.
Vikings Injury News
The biggest news out of Minnesota is that the 21-day practice window has opened for star WR Justin Jefferson to return from injured reserve. Don't completely rule out Jefferson playing on Sunday, but it does seem unlikely. Even coach Kevin O'Connell admitted on Wednesday that it would be ''a little aggressive'' to think that Jefferson will play against the Saints.
Backup rookie QB Jaren Hall and WR K.J. Osborn are both dealing with concussions and did not practice on Wednesday. Also sitting out was defensive lineman Dean Lowry (groin). Starters TE T.J. Hockenson (ribs), LT Christian Darrisaw (groin), and LB Brian Asamoah (ankle) were limited in a light practice.
This is already a Vikings team that will be without QB Kirk Cousins (Achilles) and RB Cam Akers (knee) for the rest of the year. Joshua Dobbs will get the start at quarterback in just his second week with the team. Alexander Mattison will again assume a larger role at running back.
