KEEPING THE OFFENSE GOING

Third down and red zone offense has looked better for the Saints the past couple of games, which has been a really big reason for them turning the corner. Taysom Hill has been a killer part of the game plan, and we can surely expect it to continue today against the Vikings. Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas were two quiet elements of the offensive attack last week, but a bounce back is expected.

DEFENSE VS. JOSH DOBBS

The Saints defense has had their fair share of opportunities in the past four games, getting off to very sluggish starts. One of the things that has hurt them tremendously is quarterbacks being able to run freely early and often. New Orleans has talked about sticking to their pass-rushing lanes and more to combat this. Last week was really something for Josh Dobbs upsetting the Falcons, but putting pressure on him early by converting sevens instead of threes will put a lot more pressure on him. Joe Woods knows him a bit from the past, so that might help.

A COUPLE OF WRINKLES

The Saints will be without Kendre Miller (ankle) and Isaiah Foskey (quad), which means Kyle Phillips will make his season debut for the team and see his first action in quite some time. New Orleans waived wide receiver Keith Kirkwood on Saturday while also activating Adam Prentice off injured reserve. No practice squad elevations were made, so we'll have to see if Khalen Saunders is part of the goal line and short yardage packages again. The Saints really like A.T. Perry a lot, and this could be a game where we see him be a bit more active.
