In this story:

The Saints dropped their first injury report of Week 4's matchup against the Bucs, which sees a few more faces than normal to begin the week. Seven total players were listed, with two of them being familiar to the initial report. Here's how things shape up from Wednesday.

Saints Wednesday Injury Report

  • DID NOT PRACTICE: Jordan Howden (finger), Derek Carr (right shoulder), Cesar Ruiz (concussion), Paulson Adebo (hamstring), Foster Moreau (ankle), Jimmy Graham (rest), Ryan Ramczyk (rest)

Aside Carr, the others were not spotted during the open portion of practice. Carr was an observer taking mental reps. Carr also spoke to the media following practice, which was an encouraging sign. Dennis Allen said during his conference call on Wednesday that Carr felt better today. The team will evaluate him throughout the week and Allen said he’s not ruling anything out.

Jordan Howden got hurt during practice last week and played with his finger injury on Sunday. It's unclear on the severity of it, but we'll have to keep tabs on that one as well.

Bucs Wednesday Injury Report

For Tampa, they had a walk-through practice and gave an estimated report from Wednesday. Six players did not practice, which included Jamel Dean (neck/shoulder), SirVocea Dennis (hamstring), Calijah Kancey (calf), Derrick Pitts (hamstring), Vita Vea (pectoral), and Devin White (foot),. Carlton Davis (toe) was limited.

We'll get two more reports for the week, with all eyes on whether or not Derek Carr plays on Sunday for a noon kickoff.
