In this story:

Stop me if you've heard this one before, but the Saints are going to have to do some work to get under the salary cap in the offseason. Pretty soon we'll hear about the 'cap hell' and 'kicking the can down the road' stuff for New Orleans, but they'll find a way like they always do. Naturally, this strategy works out for the team, but the results haven't been there to really solidify and justify the means.

Here's a brief look at the team's salary cap situation, checking out the top hits the team has in 2024 with the breakdowns and percentages they take up. Their Top 10 players account for $193.28 million alone, which represents 58.9% of their cap number. All figures come from Over the Cap. The team's current cap liabilities are at $327.9 million with the Top 51 coming in at $322.7 million currently.
