Watch: Jameis Winston's Workout Video on Core Stabilization
Physical therapist Kevin Wilk is working with New Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston on core stabilization exercises. Wilk played a significant role in coaching Winston through rehabilitating his torn ACL. He's still guiding Jameis with a series of activities aimed at reinforcing his core muscles.
Winston's ACL injury was sustained following a horse-collar tackle by Devin White in October 2021. Winston connected with Wilk after his season ended. His rehab videos were hugely popular and went viral throughout the Who Dat Nation.
Unfortunately, in Week 1 of the 2022 season, Winston suffered more injuries - four fractured vertebrae and tearing a right foot ligament. Winston appears dedicated to his rehabilitation program ahead of the upcoming OTAs and mini-camps.
Winston wanted to return as the starter, leading to his disappointment and frustrations outlined in his "Why I Came Back" message. He is now Derek Carr's backup who signed a four-year, $150M contract with $100M guaranteed.
Jameis restructured his 2023 base salary of $12.8M to return for a one-year, $8M deal.
Winston has passed for 21,840 yards, 139 touchdowns, 96 interceptions, for a QB rating of 87.5 over his previous eight seasons in the NFL.
