'Amazing!' Seattle Seahawks QB Drew Lock Reacts to Big Win vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Seattle Seahawks' playoff hopes are alive after defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 20-17 at Lumen Field.
Needing a touchdown to take the lead with under two minutes left, Drew Lock led the Seahawks on an 11-play, 92-yard drive that ended with a Jaxon Smith-Njigba touchdown.
Lock would hit completions of 18 and 34 yards to DK Metcalf during the drive before finding Smith-Njigba on a 29-yard pass to take the lead.
After not knowing if he would be the starter nearly up until game-time, Lock came through when it mattered most and kept Seattle's playoff hopes well and truly alive.
"Amazing won't do it justice," Lock said on his game-winning drive post-game on ESPN. "But amazing wouldn't do justice to what the O-line, DK did on that catch, what the receivers did, what Ken Walker, Zach Charbonnet did all game long. It takes a special group to rally around a guy that's coming into his second game of the year."
The win snapped Seattle's four-game losing streak and now breathes life into the team's playoff push.
Additionally, with the playoffs still in their sights, Geno Smith has another week to get healthy as he was reportedly close to starting against the Eagles after being listed as active but not taking a snap.
But make no mistake about it, this game is about Lock and what he was able to accomplish. Last week, he had his team within striking distance against the San Francisco 49ers, and this week, he was able to seal the deal.
Lock would finish his night's work completing 22 of his 33 passes for 208 yards and that game-winning touchdown.
FINAL: Lock Leads Seahawks Upset Win Over Eagles
Now at 7-7, the Seahawks have picked themselves up off the canvas as they get ready to face the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.
But for now, all that is parked to one side, as the Seahawks will no doubt be reveling in what Lock was able to do against the Eagles with the game on the line.
