The Seattle Seahawks are preparing for Monday Night Football this weekend in the Big Apple when they take on the New York Giants.

The game will mark a return home for Jamal Adams, who began his career with the New York Jets, but it will also mark his first game back with the Seahawks after tearing his quad in Week 1 last season.

“I think it means a lot to our team, just his leadership, his energy," quarterback Geno Smith said. "I know he’s been battling to get back and it’s just special have him back finally. I know all the things he’s gone through the past couple of years and I know how excited he is to go out there and play. We know he’s a difference maker. The way he plays the game, his physicalness, the way he flies around, and I can’t wait to see it. I can’t wait to see the plays that he makes.”

Adams may not be the "best in the nation" like he once was, but he can still make a big impact for a Seattle secondary in need of some juice.

The Seahawks rank second in the NFL in passing yards allowed with 984. Only the Los Angeles Chargers have surrendered more yards through the air, but after facing Tyreek Hill in Week 1 and Justin Jefferson in Week 3, that's understandable.

The Seahawks have faced lesser competition from opposing receivers, but still have given up yards in droves. Perhaps Adams' return will mitigate that a little bit.

Adams and the Seahawks are set to face the Giants on Monday at MetLife Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:15 p.m.
