K.J. Wright Blasts 'In-Fighting' Seattle Seahawks: 'They Don't Give a (Bleep)!'
Seattle Seahawks legend K.J. Wright has questions about the leadership of his beloved team, losers of four games in a row.
And K.J. thinks he has some answers, too. ... really, four answers.
1 - Wright, speaking during his weekly Seattle Sports show on Wednesday, questioned those "in charge'' in the locker room.
“Is it the leadership on the football team?” Wright said knowingly. “Are there not enough guys in there saying, ‘Let’s focus on the attention to details. Let’s take this walkthrough seriously. Let’s communicate during practice.''
2 - Wright noted "distractions and in-fighting.''
“This team right now, they’re just so distracted. It’s not even about the opponents anymore,” Wright said. “They’re fighting their own internal battles within the building. They’re fighting guys buying into what’s coach (Pete) Carroll is saying.”
3 - Wright, who played for Carroll for 10 years and clearly has a line of communication with him, said the Seahawks boss is "sick and tired of these guys'' - a damning characterization, really, given that this is a roster built largely by Carroll himself.
“What I’m hearing from Coach Carroll is that he’s sick and tired of these guys. He’s extremely frustrated,” Wright said. “He feels like that he’s preaching to him, he’s trying to be nice with them, but they’re just not receiving his message. So essentially, they don’t give a (bleep) what he’s saying at this point.”

4 - The 6-7 Seahawks, who on Monday night play host to the 10-3 Philadelphia Eagles - a talented team on a two-game losing streak - have some issues, Wright asserts, that go all the way to the top.
"If these guys are not buying in, if your message is not getting through to them … you have to do something,” Wright said of Carroll. “You have to create some kind of shock in this building ... He has to do something come Monday night.”

And then Wright essentially spoke straight to the coach.
"So coach Carroll,'' he said, "if the players are not doing it, doggone it, you’ve got to do it. You’ve got to do it. You don’t have a strong enough locker room to withhold your message to make sure this thing is going. So you’ve got to be the one to execute it.”
