NFL Mock Draft: Seattle Seahawks Select Georgia Bulldogs Star TE Brock Bowers

The Seattle Seahawks have been one of the rare teams in the NFL over the past few seasons that has legitimately used three tight ends in the offense. Colby Parkinson, Will Dissly and Noah Fant have all made their own impact, even if the stats don't always show it.

But if the Seahawks are able to take their tight end position to a star-studded heights, the franchise could eventually get back to a championship level under new head coach Mike Macdonald.

In their final pre-Super Bowl mock draft, CBS Sports thinks the Seahawks will look to add to that position in the 2024 NFL Draft this April, and it's hardly a run-of-the-mill tight end.

The Seahawks are projected to select Georgia tight end Brock Bowers at No. 16 overall in CBS Sports' mock draft. Here's what the site had to say about the projected pick:

"More offensive weaponry for Geno Smith. This is nice value for such a complete, dynamic tight end prospect," CBS Sports writes.

Bowers is regarded as one of the best tight end prospects in recent memory. At Georgia, Bowers displayed impressive hands, physicality and run-after-the-catch ability while posting 175 catches, 2,538 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns, He was also a threat on the ground, tallying 19 carries for 193 yards and five more touchdowns.

This past season, Bowers battled injuries and missed four games, but could prove he's worth the hype at the combine.

If the Seahawks can add him to an already-talented offense, Seattle will enter the 2024 season with even more excitement under Macdonald.
