As announced by NFL on Thursday night, the Seattle Seahawks will be represented by three players at the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.

Tying a Seahawks franchise record, linebacker Bobby Wagner will add a ninth Pro Bowl selection to his Hall of Fame resume, equaling quarterback Russell Wilson and tackle Walter Jones for the most in team history. Earning their first respective selections, safety Julian Love and rookie cornerback Devon Witherspoon also were voted to the NFC's Pro Bowl roster.

Returning to Seattle after spending a season with the Los Angeles Rams, Wagner has once again stuffed the stat sheet manning the middle of Pete Carroll's defense. Starting all 16 games thus far, he currently ranks second in the NFL with 168 combined tackles, extending his incredible streak of 12 consecutive seasons surpassing 100 tackles and jumping unofficially to seventh all-time with 1,689 tackles.

In addition to his gaudy tackle numbers, including 11 tackles for loss, Wagner has been utilized often as a blitzer, registering 3.5 sacks and six quarterback hits this season.

Selected with the fifth overall pick out of Illinois in the 2023 NFL Draft, Witherspoon has been a hard-hitting game wrecker in Seattle's secondary since making his NFL debut in Week 2. He earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors in Week 4 after returning an interception for a touchdown and recording two sacks in a prime time win over the New York Giants, later earning NFC Defensive Rookie of the Month honors for October.

For the season, despite missing three games due to injury, Witherspoon ranks fifth among rookies in combined tackles (68), 11th in sacks (three), and first in passes defensed (16). Per Pro Football Focus, he ranks 11th in completion percentage against (53.8), sixth in pass breakups (10), and second in quarterback pressures (nine) among qualified cornerbacks.

Witherspoon becomes only the third Seahawks defensive rookie in franchise history to earn a Pro Bowl selection, joining linebacker Lofa Tatupu (2005) and cornerback Riq Woolen (2022).

Signed to a two-year contract as a free agent in March, Love has enjoyed a breakout first season with the Seahawks, taking advantage of extended starting opportunities in the absence of an injured Jamal Adams. Starting 11 out of 16 games played, he leads the team with a career-high four interceptions and currently ranks third on the team behind Wagner and Jordyn Brooks with 103 combined tackles, including 12 special teams tackles.

Seahawks S Julian Love Wins NFC Defensive Player of the Week

Earlier this month, Love helped Seattle upset Philadelphia on Monday Night Football by intercepting quarterback Jalen Hurts twice in the fourth quarter, earning NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts.

Along with having three players selected to the NFC squad, the Seahawks have eight Pro Bowl alternates who could join the team if a player cannot participate due to injury. This group includes quarterback Geno Smith, running back Ken Walker III, receiver DK Metcalf, linebacker Jordyn Brooks, linebacker Boye Mafe, safety Quandre Diggs, punter Michael Dickson, and special teams ace Nick Bellore.

The 2024 Pro Bowl games will take place in Orlando, Florida during the week before the Super Bowl with the skills competition televised on Thursday, February 1 from 4 to 5:30 PM PT and a flag football game played on Sunday, February 4 at noon PT. Both events will be televised on ESPN and the flag football game will also air on ABC.
