Seahawks' Quandre Diggs Ramping Up Bobby Wagner Recruitment: 'You're Free!'
The Los Angeles Rams officially announced they've parted ways with veteran linebacker Bobby Wagner on Wednesday.
And apparently, it was a moment that Seattle Seahawks safety Quandre Diggs seemed was staring at the clock in anticipation for.
Diggs has been active on Twitter recently with some lighthearted recruitment of Wagner in an attempt to get him back to the Seahawks, the team he had played for since 2012 before signing with the Rams last offseason.
But Diggs, who had been teammates with Wagner since 2019, is taking his recruiting game to another level by once again going on Twitter and making his feelings known to the world.
"Well Well Well what do we have here Mr. (Bobby Wagner) looks like you’re free!" Diggs tweeted. "I’ll have my people reach out to your people (You) and see what we can do!"
It really can't get more direct than that.
Diggs also jokingly posted an old picture of him and Wagner with the Seahawks, saying that "Man this photoshop GO CRAZY!"
Wagner had signed with the Rams last offseason after a less-than-perfect departure from the Seahawks, who released him in March 2022. He joined LA thinking that another Super Bowl was on the horizon, but instead it was the Seahawks who made the playoffs while the Rams finished with a brutal 5-12 record.
Now knowing the kind of future Seattle has in front of it, maybe Wagner gives it another shot, though nothing is guaranteed. But with a long offseason ahead, anything can happen ... just don't think this will stop Diggs from his all-out recruiting efforts.
